The best mexican food in Kits has got to be Topanga @ 2904 West 4th Ave. It’s been there for years and it’s owned by the same family that owns Que Pasa (great chips & salsa).
Hundreds of framed hand-colored copies of their menu cover the walls. The staff is super efficient and Topanga appears to have the lowest turnover of staff in town. One waiter wears shorts year round and has been there as long as I have been going. The Chicken Burrito can not be beat. You’ll likely have to wait a few minutes for a table if you show up between 6 and 7pm, but it is well worth the wait.

Thanks for posting information on great Mexican restaurants. I always love trying new Mexican restaurants. I always learn something new about Mexican Food.
I hear you on Topanga, but Andales on West Broadway kicks it, fajitas down. Check out what I had to say if you don’t believe me.
You can make most of those dishes yourself. My family owns a Mexican food export business (http://mexicoetal.com) that ships alot to Canada.
The chicken fajitas will just need some achiote, and may some chili powder. But there’s a recipe for every style and flavor of fajitas.
