Gordon Campbell profiled in Kitsilano View magazine

Since Mikey and I started this blog, I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to address Kitsilano View magazine. I’m sure you’ve seen this colorful, promotional magazine around town – it’s sister publication is creatively dubbed Yaletown View. To date, I haven’t read an interesting article but still I can’t keep myself from grabbing the newest issue from the news box fearing that if I don’t I might miss something critically important to Kitsilano. That hasn’t happened yet, however, I have kept up-to-date on the Kitsilano View’s bachelor of the month’s exploits at Campoverde.

Kitsilano View’s recent cover story on Gordon Campbell confirms what I (and apparently others here and here) figured all along – this magazine doesn’t have an editorial bone in its body. It is all advertising, all the time. It is extremely difficult to find more than two articles in each issue that aren’t somehow tied to a paid advertisment. In my opinion, the only column that is worth reading is Darren Barefoot’s Technology column.
