Surely this relatively nice weather cannot last, and when it does get miserable again there is something cheap, fun, and active you can do indoors. No, I’m not talking about that. The Kitsilano War Memorial Community Centre, (as well as other city rinks), offers skating for different demographics (public, family, adult, senior) in several time slots throughout the week. You can rent both kinds of skates for $2.45. I usually only skate once a year and true to form, I did bail somewhat spectacularly, but only once. Next time I will hit up the Adult Skate on a Friday night to avoid the children careening wildly around the rink during the public skate on Saturday afternoons!
