Run For One Planet starts in Kitsilano

Kitsilano residents Matt Hill and Stephanie Tait are set to undertake their Run For One Planet (R41P) on May 4th. The dynamic duo’s ambitious and fast-approaching plan is to run a year-long, 17,700-kilometre, clockwise relay around Canada and the United States, each of them completing a full marathon a day. Why??

First, they want to raise awareness for 10 environmental action steps they have chosen, inspiring one million North Americans to change one environmental habit for the greener and stick with it.

Second, they want to raise $1 million for their Run For One Planet Foundation, which they hope to use when their year of pain and glory is over to sponsor R41P marathons in cities around the continent, continuing to spread their message of eco-consciousness.

Good luck Matt & Stephanie – make Kitsilano proud!
