Throughout the month of August, local Farmers Markets will host a series of displays and demonstrations marking BC’s anniversary. The Eatlocal.org site only mentions events at the East Van market, but according to the Kitsilano Community Calendar, there are three events planned at the Kits market:
- August 10 – Kitsilano Stories by the Vancouver Museum
- August 17 – How to make butter with Maplewood Farm
- August 31 – Urban Aboriginal Community Kitchen Garden project displays on Aboriginal foods and ceremonies
The Kitsilano Farmers Market is hosted at Kitsilano Community Centre and is from 10am until 2pm.
