As Rob told us way back in 2005, Les Amis du Fromage is THE place to get cheese (and olive oil and crackers and other yummy stuff) in Kits (I know, I know, they are technically 1/4 block east of Kits).
What I wanted to highlight here is that Les Amis hosts regular cheese and wine tasting events in their West 2nd location. I have been to two tastings so far, and if you even remotely like cheese I would wholeheartedly recommend going to one. They are a great way to discover a whole range of cheeses and some amazing wines that go with them.
A great tasting to start with would be the upcoming “Exploring Wine & Cheese 101”, which is set for September 10th. However, lots of people have clued into how great these events are, and tastings tend to sell out in mere days. So unfortunately, this particular tasting is sold out.
