We try to cover as much of the goings on in Kitsilano as we possibly can, but that is not to say we catch them all. Looks like we missed one last Sunday.
As I was walking along West Broadway I noticed a modest line-up outside of the Kitsilano location of Popey’s Supplements (2295 West Broadway @ Vine). UFC champ Anderson “The Spider” Silva was apparently making an appearance. I know nothing about UFC and its fighters, but a little search suggests “The Spider” is actually a bit of a superstar.
Well, turns out you may as well thank us for missing this one, as a commenter here claims that “The Spider” was a no-show and was replaced with Kenny “Ken Flo” Florian.
