The annual Kidsbooks January sale started last Thursday and lasts until this Sunday, January 18th. All stock – which presumably includes not just books, but also their great selection of toys, puzzles, etc. – is 20% off and anything Christmas related is 30% off.
The stores have special hours during the sale, and the Broadway location is open Saturday from 9.30am until 6pm and Sunday from 11am until 6pm.
Kidsbooks is one of those stores that makes this a great neighbourhood. They have an incredible selection of great kids books whether your kid is 3 months or 13, as well as some great toys, such as some great animal hand puppets. And their staff is easily some of the most helpful and friendly in Kits, and they always have great recommendations.

Kidsbooks knows how to run a sale. 20% off everything and the place was packed all weekend. No shady “20-50% promotion” signage to lure you in and disappoint you.
Everything in the store was 20% off with a couple of awesome 50% bins and the standard 30% sale on Christmas stuff.
Nice work Kidsbooks! Local retailers should take note.
When I was 14 (?) years old, I tried to apply for a job at Kidsbook because it was my favorite shop. I didn’t get it, but got some encouraging feedback from the owner. That’s my memory of Kidsbook!
