Sam’s Market for Lease

1756

for-leaseBoarded-up Sam’s Market, the old convenience store on the North-West corner of West 4th and Cypress, has been sitting empty for at least as long as we have lived in Kits. During those 4 years, I have never seen any activity in or around the place whatsoever.

Sam’s Market pretty much functions as a poster board, announcing the latest concerts, movies, and events. The latest posters to go up, however, are two giant “For Lease” signs.

My question is: why now?

IIRC, the dentist next door bought the space and was supposed to renovate and move in. Apparently those plans have changed.

Interesting, thanks for the intel, kitsgrrl. That would explain the timing of it.

Does anyone know what is happening with the building now? A few times we have walked by at night and there has been loud music coming from there and a bouncer at the side door??
