The folks behind Car Free Vancouver Day are holding a Kitsilano Block Party workshop on Sunday, May 3rd from 11:00am to 12:30pm at the Society Promoting Environmental Conservation (SPEC) at 2150 Maple Street.
It will be a great chance for everyone to share stories from the 2008 event and also introduce newcomers to the Block Party concept. Please come out if you are interested in hosting or volunteering this year! Coffee and treats will be served!
From the feedback we received after last year’s event it sounded like everyone had a great time with their block parties. Looking at the many photos from the various parties it’s clear that each party was unique and each host came up with some amazing ideas for having fun in the street!
This year’s Kits Car-free Block Parties Day will be held on Sunday, June 14th.
