Hooray for summer! Here at Kits Neighbourhood House we have all sorts of engaging and exciting summer programs planned. I’ve listed a few of them below. In case you’ve forgotten, we’re right on the corner of 7th and Vine – 2325 West 7th.

Also, we are ALWAYS looking for volunteers, if you find yourself with some free time on your hands all of a sudden!

Community Gardening Continues! Join us in our garden for our weekly work parties, Thursdays from 1-5. No experience necessary, just a desire to get your fingernails dirty! A meeting of all garden collaborators will be held this Thursday at 4 in the garden, it’ll be a great opportunity to get involved. Drop in on Thursday or give Megan a call beforehand if you have any questions. 604-736-3588 ot megan@kitshouse.org.

Licensed Summer Camp Spaces AVAILABLE! Kitsilano Neighbourhood House still has spots open in its Little Camper (6-8) and Preteen Leadership (9-12) summer day camps! Attention Youth! Kitsilano Neighbourhood House is hosting their Youth Volunteer Skills Program this summer. This is a great opportunity for youth to be engaged in their communities and have fun this summer. This 8 week program for youth, grades 9-12, emphasizes leadership, conflict resolution, resume building, interview skills, time/stress management and lots more. Participants will attend 8 weekly workshop sessions, gain more than 20 volunteer hours outside the workshop, get involved in community service, learn games, make new friends, gain references for the future & have FUN! This program will be held on Tuesdays from 1:30-4:00pm, from July 7th-Aug 25th. Registration is required and there is a $15 fee. To find out more information and/or to register contact Leanne Bird, Community Youth Engager at 604-736-3588 ex. 31 or leanne@kitshouse.org, or check out our website www.kitshouse.org.
