Our favourite coffee place in Kits, nay, Vancouver, is Arbutus Coffee (corner of 6th and Arbutus). 49th Parallel makes better lattes, and has some tasty pastries, but the overall coffee and cafe experience make Arbutus Coffee stand out among the busy coffee store crowd.
One of the main reasons why we like Arbutus so much is their amazing selection of in-store made pastries. Their honey-granola muffin is the best in the city, as is their chocolate chip cookie, especially when they just come out of the oven.
A while ago they also started a community blog of sorts. A blog dedicated to life in and around the coffee shop. A great concept and hopefully they will keep it up.
