Thanks to the Burrard Bridge Lane Reallocation Trial, the best place to watch the HSBC Celebration of Lights fireworks competition tonight will be the Burrard Bridge itself.
While cars have always been prohibited from stopping on the Burrard Bridge (or any city bridge) to view the fireworks, the City of Vancouver doesn’t have any rules in place to prevent the bridge sidewalk from filling up with spectators. And now that bike traffic has be removed from the sidewalk, expect it to fill up half-a-dozen deep.
Have a look at this time lapse video to see what you may be missing tonight.
