The Kitsilano Farmers Market opens for the 2010 season on Sunday, May 23rd from 10:00am to 2:00pm and will be open every Sunday until October 24th.
The Mission of Vancouver Farmers Markets is “to foster community health and local economic development through the creation of a venue where community members have greater access to safe, healthy, locally produced, environmentally friendly food, and where BC producers can market their goods directly to urban consumers“.
The Kitsilano Farmers Market is located at 2690 Larch Street at 10th Avenue, in the parking lot of the Kitsilano Community Centre.
This year they have added an interactive online map of the market which should allow visitors to create a shopping list before heading to the market.
