Sitka Books & Art will be hosting a grand opening celebration on October 2nd from 10:00am to 6:00pm – the store opened its doors for business on September 18th.
The celebration this Saturday is to express appreciation for the support of the community that has helped make this happen and for the loyalty of customers who support independent bookstores. The celebration will include door prizes, snacks and a chance to meet the staff.
Ria Bleumer, manager and co-owner of Sitka Books & Art, managed Duthie Books for sixteen years and has hired experienced staff who enjoy providing high levels of customer service. In addition to a wide selection of titles on the shelves, Sitka Books & Art carries local arts and crafts from members of the B.C. Crafts Council. Bluemer and her staff invite you to share the excitement and celebrate our shared local, independent culture.
Sitka Books & Art is Vancouver’s largest independent full service bookstore and is located at 2025 West 4th Avenue between Arbutus and Maple on the North side.
