Khatsalano!, the revamped Kits street festival which I’m sure you know takes place tomorrow, from 11am-6pm, has 23 rocking bands on five stages. Zulu Records curated the music selection this year, giving the line up a very homey, punk, DIY feel.
I’m sure every band on the list is worth its own dance party. But I like a good cheat sheet. So I called Zulu and asked which bands are must-see. Then I became even more demanding and requested that Nic Bragg, the Zulu GM, describe each band with ONLY three words. He stepped up to the challenge admirably. Nic’s answers/our Khatsalano! band cheat sheet is below. Since these guys all go on stage around the same time, I hope his answers aid you in making informed decisions.
