Zulu Records is taking part in the third year of Olio Festival, which showcases 30+ acts of local and international talent in genres including music, skate film, comedy and art. Zulu will host three live bands on Saturday evening, September 24, as a part of Olio’s new All Ages Record Store Concert Series—events free to the public hosted by Vancouver’s premiere independent record stores.

The bands start with Tassels at 3:00 pm followed by Fine Mist at 5:00 pm. A description of Fine Mist follows. RSVP for the event here.

FINE MIST
Having played together in a slew of previous bands, Fine Mist is the latest project from Vancouver’s Megan McDonald and Jay Arner. Combining lovelorn lyrics with soaring melodies and synth-spiked electro pop, Exclaim rightfully called the duo’s LP, Public Domain, a “fantastic debut.”
