On many rainy nights over the last few years, my family has made the trek to the Burgoo’s original location in Point Grey to enjoy soups, stews and other comfort foods. Not only does the bistro serve great food at very reasonable prices, I love the relaxed, earthy ambiance.
Popular menu items include borscht, upscale mac & cheese, beef bourguignon and paella all under $20. As a long time supporter of Burgoo, I’m excited to see that they are opening right around the corner from where I live at 2272 West 4th Ave (right across the street from Capers/Whole Foods). This used to be Presto Cucina.
Now that I’ve bid holiday company adieu, my family will definitely be spending a few nights at the new Burgoo….so many soups and stews to try. (Burgoo stew pictured right.)
