Vancouver park board approves food cart pilot program for Vanier Park

If you’ve been saving a happy dance, bust it out now. The Park Board has approved plans to bring food carts to three of the city’s most visited green spaces.  Yes, it’s only a pilot project but the plan is to place carts in Stanley Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, and Kitsilano’s Vanier Park.

The sites were chosen because they are busy, and should be desirable for vendors. The board + external judges will select from applicants already qualified through the city’s existing food cart program.
