We posted on the closure of Tomato Fresh Cafe in June 2011. Since then, the neighbouring men’s clothing retailer Mark James has also closed, and developer MOSAIC is putting up condos. The MOSAIC Bayswater development at at the corner of Bayswater and West Broadway consists of 31 apartments in a 4-storey building with commercial units on the ground floor.
According to the developer, they’ve worked to make homes “liveable” with room for full-sized couches in the living rooms and queen-sized beds in the bedrooms. Many of the condos have integrated workspaces, acknowledging how many people now work from home.
Occupancy is set for winter 2013/spring 2014 with sales starting in mid-June. More than 1,000 people have already requested more information. More photos are available from The Sun here.
