Bard on the Beach launches Bike to Bard Program

West Point Cycles in partnership with Bard on the Beach are hosting three “Bike to Bard” Nights on Saturday, July 28th, Wednesday, August 1st and Saturday, August 4th at Bard’s annual Bard-B-Q & Fireworks events when Bard on the Beach turns into one of the top locations in Vancouver to view the Honda Celebration of Lights.

Patrons can take in The Taming of the Shrew on the BMO Mainstage or The Merry Wives of Windsor on the Douglas Campbell Studio Stage, enjoy a sit-down dinner at intermission and then move to a private viewing area for a premium view of the fireworks after the show.

West Point Cycles has brought The Bicycle Valet on-site this season to offer secure, no-charge bike parking and storage service during each evening, so cyclists can enjoy the show in comfort and get home afterwards with ease. Kits Point is closed to auto traffic on Fireworks nights, so biking to Bard is a great transportation alternative. Cyclists who attend Bike to Bard performances on Fireworks evenings will receive complimentary bike valet parking.

The first 200 patrons who bring their bikes will also receive a free reusable water bottle from West Point Cycles. Patrons can visit Audience Services during the evening and enter for a chance to win a 2012 commuter bike, retailing for over $800, from West Point Cycles.
