Metro Vancouver’s 17th annual Feast of Fields is taking place on Sunday, September 9, from 1-5pm at this year’s host farm, Golden Ears Cheesecrafters in Maple Ridge. This is one event most farm-to-table foodies wouldn’t dare to miss.

Spend the day meeting local farmers, chefs, vintners and foodies while sampling beautifully prepared local food from top chefs, and wine and beer from local wineries and micro-breweries.

Neighbourhood participants currently confirmed include Terra Breads, Bishop’s, Edible Canada, Aphrodites’ Organic Café, Choices Market and Sip Soda.

Last year, Bishops served up a corn salad that I have tried to recreate at least 10 times this summer with no success! I can’t wait to see what they muster up this year.

Tickets are $85 for adults, $15 for children aged 7-12, and free for those 6 and under. Given the growing list of wineries joining this year, I recommended also purchasing a ticket on the Feast of Fields bus for $15 and leaving your keys at home. The event often does sell out so get your tickets ASAP.
