National Costume Swap Day™ Canada

Childrens’ costumes are too much fun to pass up, but it can seem pretty wasteful. I love the fact that National Costume Swap Day, held annually on October 13, was created in an effort to help “green” Halloween (and keep more green in your wallet too!). Kitsilano/Point Grey’s 4Cats Art Studio on West 10th is holding a Halloween Costume Swap on Saturday, October 13 from 12:30-2:30pm. It’s free to participate.  Just bring your clean costume and an item or two for the food bank.

And if you need an excuse to wear that costume, they are also holding a Halloween party on Monday, October 29, from 7:00-8:30pm for ages 3 and up to come create some spooky art. Cost is $10 per person, including prizes and refreshments. Parents are free. Register here.
