Girlz Rock tween clothing boutique opens on Arbutus

1906

Estimated to influence as much as twenty percent of household spending, it’s no secret that tweens are often touted as the ultimate opportunity in today’s consumer market. I have often been surprised by the lack of tween specific stores in Vancouver, but now I have one right down the street.

If you live in Kits with tween aged daughters, you might be excited to learn about a new boutique offering an array of clothing and accessories to tween girls. Decorated in black, pink and white, with as many sparkly earrings as skull-and-crossbones prints, the boutique appeals to what, I am told, is an emerging “rocker chic” style.

Honestly, I don’t really get it, but I am definitely not their target market. If you have a “rocker chic” tween in your home, stop by the boutique to check it out and let us know your thoughts. And parents, their neighbour, Plaisir Sucre, serves up delicious croissants and other French pastries so you can relax while the girls shop.
