The Obakki Foundation uses fashion as a fundraising vehicle to fulfill its mission of providing clean water and education in developing communities. What I like about this foundation is that Obakki Designs actually covers all of the administration, travel and other expenses related to running the non-profit, allowing 100% of the donations and Obakki Foundation sales to directly further the organization’s mission.
On November 8, in support of the Obakki Foundation, Moule on West 4th is hosting a special video premiere, trunk show, silent auction and fundraiser with 100% of the proceeds from the Fall/Winter 2012 collection going directly toward drilling water wells in South Sudan. Moule will also donate an additional 10% of the entire evening’s proceeds to the cause
