Christmas soundtrack: A fresh take on the Messiah at St. Mark’s Trinity Church, Dec. 9

1250

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Everywhere you go. But let’s focus on Kits. Here’s a classic holiday concert taking place in our neighbourhood to get you in the mood. Stellaria, Vancouver’s early music vocal ensemble, presents their highly anticipated concert: Messiah Close Up at St.Mark’s Trinity Church Dec. 9, at 7pm.

The entire Messiah is gorgeous. It’s also a big commitment. Stellaria has elegantly scaled down the oratorio.  They’ll play an intimate performance of Christmas highlights from Handel’s beloved masterpiece. This fresh new take on a holiday tradition features 17 of Vancouver’s finest vocalists and instrumentalists.

This is one of the few opportunities you’ll have to hear Handel’s Messiah performed live in Vancouver this year, so don’t miss out.

Stellaria’s Messiah Close Up takes place Sunday Dec. 9, at 7:00pm at St. Mark’s Trinity Church (1805 Larch Street). Admission is by donation at the door.
