Coco et Olive closes their Kitsilano location

roasted pepper and chêvre tart

Coco et Olive at 3476 West Broadway has recently closed their doors. Despite being located in a somewhat sleepy corner of West Broadway there always seemed to be people inside so I was surprised by the closure of this rustic French themed bakery. They made a great roasted pepper and goat cheese tart that I will miss. Thankfully, the Main Street location will remain open.

If you knew how truly awful the service was you wouldn’t be at all surprised.

Combine that with constant unrelenting abuse of staff by the nasty piece of work who was owner and it was only a matter of time.

Main Street can have him and his abysmal attitude.

For the Record: The grumpy owner of the coco et olive on Broadway is not affiliated with the main street location. The original owner/baker of west broadway is running that location and has been for a year and a half or so. The mood is mellower, the food is really good and the staff are actually friendly.

I wonder if the Main Street location has the croissant bread pudding? That stuff was worth braving any kind of service issues :-).
