The first annual Kitsilano Winter Market, is being held at Kits Neighborhood House, December 3, and is promising tons of shopping, entertainment and seasonal fun.
I was so excited to hear that Kitsilano Neighbourhood House and Society Promoting Environmental Conservation were hosting a Winter Market, and delighted when I learned the products on sale are environmentally friendly, locally and ethically made.
There will be more than 30 local vendors attending, selling some really interesting products. I’m looking forward to tasting Karmabitez zero waste upcycled snacks and checking out Shape and Strikes striking jewelry and Just Love’s baby clothes made from recycled sweaters.
As well as vendors there will also be workshops running throughout the day including one by Repair Matters, who will try their hand at fixing items you bring along. Musicians will also be performing throughout the day and Santa Clause will be on hand to spread Christmas cheer and take photos with kids.
