Food cart fanatics, this one is for you. Start dreaming about crispy ling cod fish tacos with sweet shredded cabbage and spicy salsa fresca, mojito-flavoured popsicles, and fresh-pressed pineapple coconut blueberry juice. You can find all of these summery pleasures in one place at the Vancouver Food Cart Fest starting June 22.
Over of 20 of Vancouver’s best food trucks and food carts will gather every Sunday from noon to 5pm at 215 West 1st Avenue (between the Cambie Street Bridge and the Olympic Village). The site is on the Seawall and a short walk from the Canada Line’s Olympic Village Station, the Aquabus’ Spyglass Place Dock, and major bus routes along Broadway, Cambie, Main, and West 2nd Avenue.
In addition to the waterfront nosh, you’ll also find a community market, live music and DJs, kids activities and more. But Vancouver has been ranked as one of North America’s top 5 street food cities, so it’s definitely okay to treat the meal as the main event.
