The Dalai Lama is coming to Vancouver October 21. This mighty spiritual authority, who has won a Nobel Peace Prize in addition to his day-to-day role as the leader of the dominant school of Tibetan Buddhism, is here to inspire thought leaders from business, education and the community
He will go on stage at the Vancouver Convention Centre for “Be the Village,” a discusson focusing on heart-mind well-being in children and youth in British Columbia, with other rather prominent names including TED-speaker Sir Ken Robinson and Canadian superwoman Janet Austin. Tickets to attend his dialogue run from $60 to $250.
His second appearance is at UBC October 23. This speaking event will focus on compassion. Tickets range from $35 to $200. Proceeds will support the Tibetan Resettlement Project.
We imagine many folks are seeking something – knowledge, peace, inspiration – from his Holiness, so act fast if you’d like to participate.
