November may seem like a dreary, wet month, but there are some wonderful events happening in Kitsilano over the next several weeks. Check out our list below for 4 excellent November events in Kitsilano. And don’t forget about daylight savings time ending (which means you gain an extra hour) on Sunday, November 2nd – an added perk for the month.

4 Excellent November Events in Kitsilano

1. CRAFT Screening and Tasting Event – Wednesday, November 5, 6:30-9:30pm
Kitsilano’s notable Thai restaurant, Maenam, alongside Glassbender Brewing, are presenting a screening of the beer documentary, CRAFT. During this event, Maenam will be the first restaurant to pour a bottle-conditioned table saison Glassbender Farmhouse Ale produced by Vancouver’s Postmark Brewing in Railtown. Each guest will receive their own bottle of the Farmhouse Ale, plus some fabulous Maenam beer snacks to devour while watching the film.

2. MOV Artware:  Northwest Coast Designs and Everyday Objects – Thursday, November 6, 7pm
Join exhibition curator and anthropologist Solen Roth and artist Shain Jackson at the Museum of Vancouver for a conversation around Aboriginal-themed commercial products developed by Vancouver-based artists. The objects selected highlight shifts in relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples, as illustrated in the design of the objects themselves and in the exchanges and practices to which they give rise.

3. Kitsilano Neighbourhood House Reopening Party – Saturday, November 15, 10am-3pm
Join your neighbours, friends, and the staff and volunteers from the Kitsilano Neighbourhood House as they welcome everyone back after a 3-year, $20 million renovation. The Kits House has been a community gathering place since 1894, providing services and programs for people of all ages and backgrounds. Tours, performances, workshops, and presentations about its programs and services will be held throughout this open house day.

4. Chocolate Arts Holiday Extravaganza – Saturday & Sunday, November 22-23, 9am-12:30pm or 2pm-5:30pm
Indulge your inner chocolatier as Chocolate Arts invites you to their kitchen for a festive morning or afternoon of creating holiday treats. Three-hour, hands-on classes will teach you how to prepare a special menu of chocolates for you to take home (and share, if you like). Spaces for the classes are limited and fill up quickly! Sign up in store or by phone at 604-739-0475.
