We heard this juicy news bite from KitsKitchen, Kitsilano’s small batch soup maker. The Juicery Co is opening a Kitsilano location at 3570 West 4th Avenue, a stone’s throw from our  long-time favourite Aphrodite’s Organic Cafe & Pie Shop.

If you haven’t heard about Juicery Co it’s likely because this family-run operation is located on the North Shore. Their products use entirely organic ingredients and they source locally whenever possible.  The retail shop will sell their bottled juices and nut mylks as well as smoothies, acai bowls, and soups from KitsKitchen.

Their story? The Juicery Co was created after a family member was diagnosed with stage four Esophageal Cancer. During investigation of alternative treatments it became apparent that nutrition could potentially offer the most potent healing medicine.

Research revealed juicing as a method of providing specific micronutrients, which would support the body with the challenge of living with cancer. Co-Founders Alex Troll and Christina Prevost began making Dads Juice (beet, apple, carrot, kale, ginger and turmeric) daily for their family member.
