Cosmic Nights kicks off at the HR MacMillan Space Centre tonight Thursday, July 16 with Plutopalooza. Come along to discover the wonders of Pluto, over drinks at this adult only event.
Launched in 2006, NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft has crossed the vast ocean of space and is just begining to explore Pluto and its moons. The picutres are stunning and from data beamed back we’ve learned Pluto is slightly larger than previously thought and has a thin nitrogen atmosphere layer reaching far out into space.
Whether you’re an astonomer or just getting into the excitement of the Pluto mission, you’re bound to learn something new and have fun at the adult night filled with music, games, demonstrations, and planetary concoctions.
