Tangram Creamery opened this January at 2729 Arbutus Street. There hasn’t been this much social media buzz about frozen treats in Kits since Rain or Shine opened. Residents are praising their gourmet ice creams, made on site, in flavors such as double chocolate, Guatemalan coffee, salted caramel, hojicha, and black sesame. Non dairy flavors include lychee and mango. There are macaron ice cream sandwiches. We’ve also heard they make a killer cookie cone from a type of French biscuit called the Langue de Chat with the end sealed in chocolate to avoid drippy leaks. Single scoops are $5, regardless of cup or cone. The special cookie cone is $1 more. In terms of scene, the shop is minimalist wood with once interesting now ubiquitous bare bulb pendants.

Go visit, taste, and let us know what you think.
