Tiggy Winkle Preschool, which is currently taking enrollment for September 2016, is extending the school day by a half-hour to accommodate more playing, learning, activities and fun.
The preschool, located at the Kitsilano Community Centre, provides a caring, play-based learning environment for 3 to 5 year olds. Through a monthly theme-based curriculum the social, emotional, intellectual, creative and physical development of each child is encouraged and fostered. The preschool also takes full advantage of the community centre programming with dance classes, outdoor play and social events with local Seniors.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I should say my daughter is currently enrolled at Tiggy Winkle Preschool and loves it. She’s flourished in the caring environment where the teachers work with children in small groups and one-on-one to help them be their best. Each school day follows the same routine; the students enjoy circle time, free play, a craft activity and music. “The care and attention the teachers show each student makes the preschool a happy place for my son to learn and grow,” says Tiggy Winkle parent, Heather.
Preschool program details:
- The three-year-old’s classes are Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00-11:30 am or 12.30-3.00pm.
- Four-year-olds attend on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00-12:00pm or 12:30-3:30pm.
