Head over to Cartem’s Donuterie (3040 West Broadway) on Thursdays for children’s story time and activities. The fun takes place at 10:30.Brooklyn, who hosts the events, is currently studying at UBC in the Masters of Library and Information Studies program. She has an unconditional love for all things books & reading, and believes that books bring joy to the world. You get the chance to socialize with your small folk and taste the seasonal doughnuts.
In October, Cartem’s has three specials: honey crisp with oat honey crumble, key lime cheesecake, and Canuck’s Place, a doughnut with a blackberry glaze and organic confetti candy on vanilla cake ($1 per donut will be donated to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice).
