West 4th Avenue is home to countless bakeries, so what makes this one stand out above the rest in that short stretch of road home to Safeway, the most expensive wine store I’ve ever been into and a pretty dodgy McDonalds?
The coffee, that’s what!
Vancouver Coffee Snob Recommendation: Give me bread, give me ALL THE BREAD. I’ve not tried a single loaf that’s been disappointing here. Their espresso drinks are ok, but their batch brew filter coffee is pretty decent, so stick with that to be safe.
If you’re visiting today, be sure to grab a peppermint hot chocolate before it’s gone for the season.
