Four years ago the folks behind Rain or Shine Ice Cream ran a campaign called #pintforapint to encourage blood donation in support of a friend’s young daughter who was diagnosed with Leukemia.
The campaign was a success and it’s back again this month.
To participate you must visit a Rain or Shine Ice Cream location (Cambie, Kits or UBC) to pickup a #pintforapint card (while supplies last) before you go to the Oak Street Clinic to donate blood.
When you donate blood at the clinic, a volunteer will stamp your card and you can then redeem it before January 31st at a Rain or Shine Ice Cream location for a free pint of ice cream.
