If you were excited about attending the 10th annual Khatsahlano Street Party on July 11th, we’ve got some bad news for you.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has announced that physical distancing measures put in place to limit the spread of COVID-19 will remain through the summer season and that organizers of large outdoor events should be thinking about alternatives.
For the past 9 years the Khatsahlano Street Party has been brought to you with love by the merchants of West 4th Avenue. We were looking forward to celebrating our 10th birthday with you this summer but given the uncertainty of the current COVID-19 situation and the hardships many of our businesses are facing, we don’t think the timing is right to host Vancouver’s largest music + arts festival.
Next year’s Khatsahlano Street Party will be on July 10, 2021.
The West 4th Avenue Khatsahlano Street Party is Vancouver’s largest free music and arts festival, spanning 10 blocks from Burrard to MacDonald Street.
Created in 2011 by the Kitsilano West 4th Avenue Business Association, the Khatsahlano Street Party features multiple stages showcasing Vancouver’s top musical performers as well as the eclectic work of local artisans and street performers.
