An employee of the Kitsilano’s TurF has tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the voluntary, temporary closure of the location.
According to an update on their website, a single staff member at their Kitsilano location tested positive for COVID-19.
While not required to close, TurF’s Warren Springer told Kitsilano.ca the business has decided to close while it follows the guidance of BC Public Health and the CDC to ensure the facility is safe for staff and guests when they return.
Prior to receiving a positive test result, the staff member last worked at the Kitsilano location on from August 4-6 and August 9-12 without symptoms.
TurF Kitsilano is scheduled to re-open on Saturday, August 22nd.
