Lower Lonsdale’s Lift Breakfast Bakery is opening a second location in Kitsilano in the new year and it will be called Juanita.
The restaurant known for its made-from-scratch breakfast and baked goods, is taking over the space formerly occupied by Blue Martini Jazz Cafe at Cornwall & Yew.
Formerly located at 1516 Yew Street, Blue Martini quietly shuttered early this year as the COVID-19 pandemic closed restaurants across the country.
Juanita is slated to open in late January and will be an all-day full-service restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, with a dinner menu partly inspired by Chef-Owner Jane Young’s time working at Michelin star restaurants in coastal Spain.
