Kitsilano’s favorite French-Japanese restaurant is closing.
Located at 1629 Yew Street and run by husband-and-wife chef duo Makoto Ono and Amanda Cheng, Mak N Ming is known for its seasonally-conscious set menus showcasing the ingredients of the Pacific Northwest.
In 2017 Air Canada has named Mak N Ming as one of Canada’s Top 10 Best New Restaurants.
While the 28-seat location in Kitsilano is shuttering, Ono and Cheng have hinted that they’ll be back soon.
