Last week we revisited Bimini’s Beer Hall, a landmark on Kitsilano’s West 4th Avenue.
In addition to a huge interior renovation, the local establishment underwent a name change from Bimini’s Public House to Bimini’s Beer Hall.
But don’t worry, Bimini’s is still open to the public.
The new name is a refresh that supports the strong craft beer game of this Donnelly Group location. Bimini’s sports 24 draught beer taps with 14 rotating monthly or seasonally with local craft breweries including Beere, Container, Fieldhouse, House of Funk, Mariner, Parkside, Phillips, and Twin Sails. Check out the complete lineup of beers online.
The focus is on limited releases from these breweries, which is why you’ll find two of my favorites on tap: Beere’s pinky tuscadero lemon raspberry sour and House of Funk’s funk juice apricot raspberry smoothie sour. What can I say, I like the sours.
On the packaged side of the beer ledger, you’ll find strong representation from Vancouver’s own Bomber Brewing. The Donnelly Group acquired Bomber a few years back and their easy-drinking Skyline Lager is the most popular beer on the menu.
Kudos to Bimini’s for still promoting the local craft beer community even though they have their own horse in the race with Bomber.
For those of you on a budget, note that Bimini’s has the lowest priced beer specials in Kitsilano with $5 for an 18oz pint.
Be sure to time your visit to Bimini’s to take advantage of Happy Hour in the afternoon from 4pm to 6pm, Monday thru Friday, and daily features. And look for Bimini’s to host local craft beer events as soon as dining restrictions relax.
