British Columbia’s largest public event, the Honda Celebration of Light will return on July 20, July 24 and July 27 – and taking to the sky will be the Red Bull Air Show which has become synonymous with the annual event.
Pete McLeod and the Red Bull Air Show have become a staple of each evening performance, warming up hundreds of thousands of spectators with a breathtaking display of aeronautics, prior to the fireworks extravaganza,
McLeod, a professional aerobatic pilot, is an iconic aviation figure globally. He is one of Red Bull’s top Air Race Pilots, taking his first ride at just six weeks of age with his father, who is also a pilot.
The thrill and freedom that comes with precision flying is like nothing else and I am honoured to be making my return to the Honda Celebration of Light,” said McLeod. “It is an honour to perform at such an iconic event and the hundreds of thousands of people who will be adorning English Bay.”
McLeod performs around the world but says that there is nothing like performing in Canada and suggests the Honda Celebration of Light is the highlight of his Canadian schedule.
McLeod’s pre-fireworks performances will take place all three evenings, and is guaranteed to thrill attendees with aerobatic tricks, free-fall dives, flips, spins, and top speeds while he glides close to the waters of English Bay beach.
