Music, innovation and art take centre stage at Flats Fest on Saturday, September 7th at 565 Great Northern Way in the South Flats neighbourhood of Vancouver.

The free-to-enter event features musical performances, an immersive and inspiring innovation zone, children’s activities, an artisan market and more.

Live music kicks off at noon on the Main Stage with performances from Star Captains, ZADA, Mark Woodyard, Michaela Slinger, Fionn, Logan Staats, Mauvey and more.

Thanks to a site-wide liquor license, attendees can savour the music while sipping their favourite drinks and exploring activations throughout the day.

Reflecting the creative district that South Flats is, the event will feature a robust Innovation Zone filled with cutting-edge projects and virtual reality experiences from local South Flats organizations.

Here, attendees can play games by Electronic Arts, experience VR with Buffalo Buffalo, explore Tesla innovation and vehicles, discover activations from the Centre for Digital Media and Vancouver Community College and more.

A diverse lineup of food trucks, including Asian-style burgers from Wakwak Burger, sushi tacos from Taco Nori, mac and cheese from REEL Mac & Cheese, Japanese-Hawaiian fusion from KYU Grill, plant-based dishes from Planted Love and homemade ice cream from Rain or Shine.

Attendees in need of a pick-me-up can visit Nemesis or Kafka’s Coffee for a refreshing cup of coffee and mouth-watering pastries.
