Japanese luggage brand LOJEL is now open in the space formerly occupied by Kitsilano icon Bishop’s Restaurant at 2183 West 4th Avenue.
Founded in Japan in 1989 by a young entrepreneur named Chih Chang Chiang, LOJEL, which stands for Let Our Journeys Enrich Life, is a global brand known for luggage, bags and accessories.
After years of designing and selling bags at local markets, Chiang took his product concepts to Toyama, Japan where he established a manufacturing partnership and began laying the foundation for LOJEL’s transformative journey – reimagining the world of carry essentials.
The 1,800-square-foot Kits flagship store will showcase the brand’s full range of products and embrace “local surroundings, with immersive design and experiential elements that celebrate local culture and bring real value to the community.”
