Helly Hansen is opening their newest retail store on West 4th Avenue this weekend.

Helly Hansen, a Norwegian brand founded in 1877 by sea captain Helly Juell Hansen, is renowned for its high-performance outdoor and workwear, particularly in maritime and alpine environments.

Helly Hansen produces a wide range of products, including technical outerwear, footwear, and accessories for skiing, sailing, hiking, and other demanding outdoor activities.

The brand, now headquartered in Oslo, Norway, was acquired by Canadian retail company Canadian Tire Corporation in 2018, further expanding its reach in North America.

Friday, October 18th: Join Squamish Search & Rescue team for a crash course in wilderness first aid, stories of daring rescues, and a private screening of “Search and Rescue: North Shore – Squamish SAR.” Tickets are $10, with all proceeds supporting Squamish SAR.

Saturday, October 19th: Celebrate with a day of music, giveaways, and special gifts for the first Helly Hansen West 4th customers. The first 50 customers to spend $50 or more will receive a gift, plus everyone can spin the wheel for more swag and enjoy tacos from the Tacofino food truck. They will also be donating 5% of sales all weekend to support Squamish SAR.
