The Arts Club Theatre Company kicks off the new year with The Three Musketeers, a swashbuckling comedy brimming with wit and action, at the historic Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage from January 16 to February 16, 2025.

Adapted from Alexandre Dumas’ classic novel, the production brings to life the daring adventures of Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and the ambitious young D’Artagnan. Arriving in Paris with the skill of a swordsman and the heart of a warrior, D’Artagnan sets off alongside the musketeers to foil the sinister schemes of Cardinal Richelieu. Packed with extravagant swordfights, sweeping romance, and double-crosses, The Three Musketeers promises a thrilling escape into a world where love and honour reign supreme.

This production is a co-creation with Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre, led by Citadel Artistic Director Daryl Cloran. The show features a cast of 16 local Vancouver and Edmonton artists, with dynamic set and costume designs by Cory Sincennes. Jonathan Hawley Purvis choreographs the show’s exhilarating swordplay, while sound designer and composer Jonathan David Lewis and lighting designer Sophie Tang enhance the spectacle.

“As we step into 2025, I wanted us to produce a classic piece that was full of adventure,” said Ashlie Corcoran, Artistic Director of the Arts Club Theatre Company. “The Three Musketeers absolutely fit the bill, and Catherine Bush’s version is a seamless blend of comedy and action. This production thrilled audiences in Edmonton, and I can’t wait to see Daryl’s masterful vision come to life on the Stanley stage.”

Tickets start at $29 and can be purchased for performances at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage at 2750 Granville Street.
