Vancouver’s vibrant food scene is about to welcome a larger-than-life addition.
Big Mama’s & Papa’s Pizzeria (BMPP), the Los Angeles-based chain famous for its enormous pizza slices and massive 36-inch pizzas, is set to open its first Vancouver location in Kitsilano.
Renowned for its colossal offerings, BMPP has built a loyal following in Southern California for its oversized pizzas, extensive menu, and family-friendly atmosphere. Now, Vancouverites will soon have the chance to indulge in these legendary slices without crossing the border.
The new Kitsilano location is part of BMPP’s ambitious international expansion plan. While an exact opening date has yet to be confirmed, its website lists that the Vancouver location will be found at 2655 Arbutus Street, which was the previous location of Trees Organic Coffee.
BMPP’s menu features an array of options beyond pizza, including wings, salads, sandwiches, and pasta, catering to a variety of tastes. However, the star attraction remains its famous Giant Sicilian Pizza, it’s cut up into 200 slices, serves 50 to 60 people, weighs about 20 kgs and costs between $350 to $400 depending on the toppings.
