A dramatic three-vehicle collision at West 4th Avenue and Burrard Street in Kitsilano on Wednesday night left an Evo car-share vehicle overturned.
The crash, which occurred just before 9 p.m., involved an Evo, a Volvo, and a Mercedes, according to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD). Photos from the scene show the overturned Evo with a smashed windshield, while spilled groceries littered the roadway.
Witnesses described hearing two loud crashes, with one suggesting the second impact was the Evo flipping onto its roof. A large crowd gathered, with many calling emergency services and capturing the aftermath on their phones.
While the exact cause of the crash remains unclear, police have directed the drivers to file claims with ICBC. Evo Car Share stated they were “glad to hear that everyone… is okay” but declined further comment pending the investigation.
